What is Regression Therapy? Very simply Regression Therapy is used to help a client heal or resolve issues that are affecting them currently by going back to the source of the issue. The source of the issue may have been in younger years, or in their adult life or maybe even a past life. By revisiting the source of the issue an opportunity presents itself for the client to transform, heal and release whatever is being held. This enables the client to finally move forward, having resolved the issue. Regression Therapies Offered
Why Are There Different Types of Regression Therapy? The different regression therapies all have the same purpose, to help a client heal or overcome issues that are affecting them by going back to the source of the issue. The regression therapy used depends on when the source of the issue first occurred in the clients past. Each of the regression therapies I offer are listed below with a brief description giving the circumstances under which they would normally be used. There are occasions where necessary to use more than one therapy technique when dealing with an issue. Current Life Regression
Current Life Regression is used when the source of the issue is discovered to have occurred in post childhood years. Various techniques are used to allow the client to discover the cause or source of the issue whilst in a light trance state ( a state of relaxation). The trance state can be induced using hypnosis or by the therapist guiding the client to focus on thoughts, feelings or emotions arising around the issue. Sometimes the client may already have awareness of the source of the issue or if this is not the case the client is helped to rediscover the forgotten or suppressed memories at the source of the issue. Once the source is discovered release and transformation work takes place resulting in a deeper level of understanding and healing for the client. Past Life Regression
Past Life Regression is based on the belief of the process of reincarnation, that as souls we reincarnate on earth for more than one lifetime, so that we may grow and evolve whilst consequently learning life lessons. In our current life there may be unexplained thoughts, feelings, emotions, fears or patterns repeating that are linked to unresolved issues in a past life. Using hypnotic trance a client can be guided by the therapist to the relevant past life or lives related to the problem being experienced in the current life. Once the past life or lives have been established, transformation work then takes place allowing the client to gain understanding which leads to the release of whatever's been carried over. This transformation and release work can lead to rapid healing and a reduction of symptoms in the clients current life. Inner Child Healing Regression
Inner Child Regression can transform and release trauma, pain, emotions that have been formed in our earlier years. The therapist works with the client's “inner child”, speaking directly to the child part once the source of the issue has been found. This is carried out in a very gentle and loving way, and allows the child to feel safe and to be given the help and healing they need. This work can be emotional but ultimately so rewarding and transformative, allowing the client to fully understand the cause of long held issues and find forgiveness where necessary . During this work the grown up self is often encouraged to assist the "inner child" to understand and release whatever has been impacting on the clients adult life. . Regression by Proxy
Regression Therapy by Proxy is a regression therapy method using a nominated person to have a regression on behalf of the client. There are a few common reasons for a client to use another person (a proxy) for their session: • The client's ill or has a medical condition that prevents them working with the therapist i.e. a serious heart condition • The client is pregnant • The client is too young • The client is unable to travel, lives too far away or abroad This method can be used for all the regression therapies offered. Permission is required from all parties involved to work this way. Ideally it's best if the client knows the person acting as the proxy as this means there is an existing personal energy link between them. Quite often parents act as a proxy for their children or family members and close friends often assist a client who wishes to work this way. If you would like a regression session by proxy but do not have a proxy person available then I can arrange a proxy for you. I would require you to speak to the proxy prior to the session so that an energy connection is made. The provision of a proxy by myself would incur an addition charge to the session fee. Spiritual Life Between Life Regression - LBL
Spiritual Life between lives Regression ( LBL) is a process used to recall the memories of our existence as eternal souls between physical lifetimes. This is achieved by the client being guided into a very deep level of hypnotic trance by the therapist. During the process the most recent past life or a past life that the client's subconscious chooses for them is briefly visited before moving on to explore the process of leaving the body and entering the higher planes of existence. Exploring this higher plane provides the client with the opportunity to discover the answers to some of our most fundamental questions: Why am I here?, What is my life purpose?, What are my life lessons?, What have I learnt from previous lives?, What am I still working on?, What choices were made in advance about the life I'm currently living?. Many of these questions and more can be answered during an LBL session. An LBL session gives the client the opportunity to gain a far deeper perspective on life, along with a profound inner peace and understanding. What can Regression Therapy be used for ?
Regression can be used for many problems. The most common include: • inexplicable pains or panic attacks • lack of self-confidence and self-esteem • persistent feelings of e.g. anger, guilt or sadness • Personal relationship issues • anxiety and stress, feeling blocked • healing trauma • fears phobias and disturbing thoughts or dreams • understanding and breaking negative repeating life patterns • addictions, compulsions and obsessions • physical healing - discovering root of illness • discovery of life purpose • spiritual development and awakening • discovering soul connections How do I know which Regression Therapy is right for me? Prior to any session I arrange a free initial consultation either by phone or in person with the client. This gives the client and therapist an opportunity to connect prior to the session, ensuring that it feels right working together. It's very important that the client and therapist are comfortable working together, as regression work can be very personal and emotional, so this initial contact allows both parties to establish the trust, rapport and comfort that's necessary to work together. During the consultation the various regression processes are discussed in relation to the clients issue and discovering it's root cause. During the consultation I suggest which type of regression would be most appropriate for the issue, but it's worth bearing in mind that sometimes the cause of an issue can be hidden from the conscious mind, so it may not be until the session is under way that the type of regression therapy required becomes apparent. Are past lives real? The answer to this question will depend on the beliefs you currently hold. For those who believe in reincarnation, the past life memories being recalled during a past life regression are likely to be accepted as a real past life. If on the other hand you disbelieve or are skeptical about past lives then it's natural to doubt, especially as the conscious mind tends to question. As a regression therapist I facilitate to allow the client to recall past life memories if the source of an issue appears to originate there. These recalled memories are then worked through in a therapeutic way, allowing the client to experience a releasing and transformative healing. The ultimate objective is the positive and beneficial changes and healing for the client, so whether the recall is real or imaginary at this point is far less important. One of the interesting aspects of working with skeptical clients is that after a past life regression they are always amazed that the past life memories they've recalled are completely different to a past life they would have imagined for themselves ! It's incredible how these past life memories tie directly into the issues currently being addressed by the client ! Will I be in control and remember what happened during the session? Yes, as with any work involving hypnotic trance the client should they chose to can bring themselves out of trance at any time they wish. With the exception of life between Life regression most regression only requires a light level of trance. The client is always aware of what is being said during a session and sessions are recorded, so a copy of the recording is provided if required. What if I go back to a traumatic event in a current or past life regression? If a traumatic event is at the source of an issue then it will be visited as part of the regression therapy. Sometimes the trauma or cause is consciously known, sometimes not, especially where the source of the issue is in childhood or a past life. When an emotional or traumatic event is visited it is worked through very quickly, spending no longer than necessary recalling it. Techniques are used to detach the client if needed, so the event can be observed in a disassociated way. It is always necessary to gather the emotions and feelings attached to trauma or events that are being held by the client and causing the issue. You'll be pleased to know that a skilled regression therapist will have many techniques to make this aspect of the work as easy and comfortable as possible for the client, thereby avoiding the intensity of the original experience. How many sessions are needed and how much do they cost? The number of sessions needed will depend upon the severity of the issue and the overall objective. For many issues a single session has amazing results and is all that's needed. For severe issues or complex emotional issues 1-3 sessions may be required. Regression therapy can result in very fast and dramatic results compared to more traditional therapies. Clients are required to complete a client questionnaire which is used during the consultation to access the issue and provide a guide to the number of sessions that may be needed. Regression therapy sessions cost £120, with sessions lasting approximately 2½ hours.
